A Fresh Look at The Veris Promise

Last year, we introduced our readers to The Veris Promise, Veris Residential’s pledge to provide exceptional living experiences to our residents through a suite of premium portfolio-wide programs. We delved into everything from our 30-day move-in guarantee to our commitments to health and wellness.
As we continuously develop and expand our promise, we’re excited to share some new benefits and recent changes. Don’t worry—our residents will still enjoy everything we previously offered, now with some added perks.
So What’s Changed?
As we add new programs and features, we’ve tweaked a few things and completely updated a few more!

New Features
- myVeris App: We’ve completely reimagined our resident mobile app to a version designed specifically for Veris. The new version keeps all its abilities to help residents with their everyday needs, adding a new collection of social features to encourage resident connections and community building.
- Direct Messaging: For the first time, residents who would like to get to know their neighbors can message each other directly (with the option to opt-out, of course).

- Interest Groups: From fitness to reading to crafting and more, we’ve got a group for almost any hobby or passion you have. Within these groups our residents are able to chat with each other about their shared interests, answer polls, plan meet-ups and more. Residents are also encouraged to submit new groups for consideration if they have a niche interest we haven’t yet covered.
- Resident-Hosted Events: In addition to our signature resident events hosted by community staff, residents now have the ability to submit their own events for consideration. Whether you want to have a gala in your apartment or just host an informal get together, it’s a great opportunity to connect with others and build community.
- Bilt Rewards: All Veris Residential communities have entered into a partnership with Bilt Rewards, which allows our residents to earn rewards with every rent payment. Rewards points can be used for travel opportunities like hotels and flights, shopping trips with select vendors, future rent payments and more.
And a few minor tweaks…
With the introduction of Bilt Rewards, we’ve tweaked a few other pieces of The Veris Promise. For example, instead of giving out gift cards for maintenance requests that aren’t responded to in 24 hours, we’re distributing 1,000 Bilt Rewards Points. Additionally, our resident referral fees will transition to Bilt points:
- Earn 20,000 Bilt Points when referring a friend to your community.
- Earn 10,000 Bilt Points when referring a friend to any other Veris property.

What’s Staying the Same?
Everything else!
- New move-ins still have 30 days to change their mind about their new home.
- Domestic cats and dogs of all breeds and sizes are still accepted in all our communities.
- Our brand partners continue to offer deals only available to the Veris Residential community.
- We continue to connect our residents with local charitable organizations, sustainability programs and more through Embrace by Veris Residential.
Our commitment to health and wellness remains strong as we continue to utilize a 75- point move-in checklist for new residents, while offering WELL Health-Safety and WELL Equity-Rated communities, smoke-free spaces and complimentary bike storage to all in our community.

Finally, the extra perks remain untouched. Residents continue to benefit from one complimentary lockout, one courtesy late payment, verbal translation services and our credit building program.
