East Boston

Overview

Referred to by locals as simply “Eastie,” East Boston is an exhilarating and culturally breathtaking community in one of America’s most celebrated cities. Gorgeous waterfront views from Boston Harbor accompany a bustling business district, including some of the best ethnic restaurants the city has to offer.

And it makes sense, too. Known to history as “Boston’s Ellis Island,” this neighborhood served as a major mid-19th-century foothold for immigrants entering the United States, their influence reflected in the richly diverse communities thriving in the area to this day.
